Prototype Track Chart - January 1967

PRR track chart

This track chart is taken from the January 1967 Buckeye Region Industry Track Chart. The chart was used for rules exams.

Model Track Chart

model track chart

This chart presents my version of the above track chart of the Coshocton, Ohio area. I have tried to capture the feeling and look of the prototype, rather than reproduce an exact replica of the prototype.

Trackplan

The layout represents the PRR's Panhandle Division in the Coshocton, Ohio area in September, 1967. The track plan does not follow the prototype, but the industries are based on those serviced by the PRR in Coshocton. The idea was to build a layout that captured the look and feel of the prototype while still fitting into a small space. Not modeled is the former Wheeling and Lake Erie line that ran parallel to the PRR starting at Morgan Run just east of town to Conesville south of town. Morgan Run might be a part of Phase 2 construction if a suitable bridge over the Tuscarawas River can not be found.
